Belatrix achieves ISO 27001 global security standard

Categories: Security |

Belatrix was recently awarded the ISO 27001 information security standard. In this blog post I want to share briefly why we consider this is important and some of the benefits it provides.

ISO 27001 is internationally recognized as the benchmark of information security. Because of the rigor of the security standard, organizations with ISO 27001 can very easily achieve a range of other security standards, from PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), SOC, to HIPAA. Achieving this standard reflects the importance with which Belatrix takes information security, and also the reason why organizations as diverse as the latest startup in Silicon Valley or a well-established Fortune 500 company trust us to develop business-critical software.

In particular companies in industries such as financial services, healthcare, and high-tech will often only work with organizations which meet global standards of information security. All the locations at Belatrix (Argentina and Peru) have achieved the ISO 27001 certification.

ISO 27001 will provide our customers with numerous benefits, from greater security awareness across all levels of the organization, adherence to customer legal and regulatory requirements, and cost savings through fewer incidents. These are just some of the benefits ISO 27001 provide – to find out more about what the security standard means, and how we would apply it to your project, please review the full paper here.
